Here is a movie of our newly stocked white ghost chair. This one has arms and we have another that is armless. I'm trying to create movies that are easy to see in a natural setting as opposed to having them look too commercial. As a buyer, I like to see the actual product, not the one that the catalog shows me as beautiful. We all know that the food in the ad is not the food we are going to receive on our plate.

Here's the arm chairs in stacked formation. I think you can probably get 10 or 20 stacked up high, not that you would be able to carry them. This shows you how easy they are to store and move around. Thank you to my wife for the images. I should take these chairs back to work but I'm getting lazy and I like to see them around the house. Maybe I'll have her take them upstairs and have some shots in the kids room so I can build the portfolio.

Here was another box image for the armed chairs. If you check these out, they come stacked inside of those boxes for shipping to your home / work / job site. We try and put a lot of protective packaging in between the chairs so they don't break and we have been enormously successful on shipping.

If they are on a pallet (that wooded board underneath) they are going to be shipped by a large truck, if they are just in the box, they are going to be shipped by FedEx.

We took these pictures in our dining room, I'm not sure if I like the chairs with that table. We usually have some espresso wood chairs next to the table and hutch (we bought the whole thing as a set) so the set looks nice by itself, but in my opinion the ghost chairs don't work in that room. Maybe if we put 6 chairs in the room. What do you think? Do you like them there?

Pottery barn meets a ghost! This was taken and staged in our formal living room, you know the one where no one can sit but has the nicest furniture in the house for some reason. My aunt did have the plastic covered sofa in her front living room AND true to Chicago Italian form, she had an oil lamp. If you don't know what one of those are, they are these lamps that are gigantic and they dripped drops of oil down threads that extended from the lampshade. Bizarre, do a web search on them.

Anyway, today's fashion model is sitting on a rug that I think was from Pottery Barn next to a vase that probably was from Pottery Barn and a lamp that I'm sure was Pottery Barn. Pottery Barn. The photo really shows me how ghost chairs will go with any type of decor.

Ghost Chairs

All alone in the cold! I wanted to have another picture of the chair showing how see through it actually is. I think the shot would have looked a bit cooler if there was a pack of ghost chairs in my yard but as they say, hind sight is 20/20. Maybe this will give you an idea that you can leave the chairs outside for the winter in your lawn or on your patio. They wouldn't block your view as much as standard patio furniture but I can't guarantee that these ghost chairs won't freeze. What a great way not to block nature's beauty, a ghost chair in the lawn.

Here's another shot from inside the computer room. The more I look at this shot, the more I would like my whole room to be acrylic so there would be a minimalist feel to the place instead of how it is now, cluttered. The ghost chairs are really doing a good job of giving back space into the room.

My wife took a couple of pictures yesterday of the ghost chairs in our casual dining room. Overall, I can tell you they really help open up the room. I don't know if they go too well with our set, but the house looks much more airy. Tell me what you think....

I'm going into the warehouse today to take some more pictures of our ghost chairs. I'm going to bring them home and then take pictures with them all around my house to help give people design ideas. If anyone has any ideas or want to see them photographed in a particular way, please let me know. I have the following set list: behind a desk, next to a table, as an accent chair with a throw on it. I figure I'll end up talking to my wife because she probably has a better design eye than I do.

I'm also debating on calling the product the ghost chair or since we sell them in sets of 2, ghost chairs.

I just saw the coolest picture of someone using a ghost chair at their desk. The desk was white and the chair was clear acrylic. I was thinking that the clear acrylic chairs were a great way to showcase a furniture piece that normally be obscured by a chair. So unless you have a chair and a desk that you want to show off, sometimes you end up getting the desk first and then filling in the space with a chair before you find the perfect one. Then you can move the ghost chairs back to another place. So an idea is to get 6 chairs for a table, then use one alternately as a desk chair and then back as a dining room chair.

Again, not the perfect solution but it looked nice to me.

We finally got our shipment of ghost chairs in and we are excited! This was like a Christmas for adults if you are in the import business.

We liked the shape because it reminds us of a Louis the XIV chair which we have grown accustomed to after selling furniture for so many years. Typically this style is made with beechwood and has Cabriole legs so a modern take using Lucite / acrylic is appropriate. The modern style also doesn't employ a fabric which typically would have a pattern to it. I've seen people use their own fabric or add pillows to the seat to break up the clear style.

I think these Ghost Chairs would go great in banquet halls restaurants or in a modern home. These probably aren't suitable for a traditional home unless you are really going to cover them in a fabric to match your own decor. We carry the clear ghost chair, clear ghost chair with arms, the black ghost chairs and the black ghost chair with arms. If you are doing a standard table setting, a great idea is to use two with arms at the head of the table and the side chairs would be armless.

I'm planning on using one of the chairs in the corner of my living room with a throw on the back of it. The chair becomes more of a conversation piece than anything else when you use it to accent the existing room. My friends usually come over and talk about my taste and look forward to the story of each piece of furniture and why it was selected.
